Globe and Mail Project: #55, UNSEASONAL WEATHER WILL NOT BEAT ATHLETES

(click on image to view larger version)
Despite unseasonal weather and less than
ideal skiing conditions, athletes continue
to record peak performances.
Collage #55 of my Globe and Mail Project: deconstructing Canada's National Newspaper and putting it back together to try and make sense of the world. All images used in this collage were clipped from today's Globe.

Adaptability Mr. Hunt, this is what it's all about. Not just surviving the warm snap, but thriving under these conditions. Why Mr. I. Black, our local meterologist, was just lamenting our snow drought and did we fold under these extreme weather conditions? No sir. We hung in there to see snow-flakey precipitation a mere two to three days after declaring the snow drought. It's amazing what the average man on the street can endure, and with a little athletic training under your fit abdomenal belt you certainly can expect to exceed expectations.

True Caesar, weather is not sport. While the farmer needs rain to grow food to sustain us, we lament the rainy day because it may temporarily cause a heave in the loft of a new wool pant-suit. We must learn to adapt.
