Vancouver's vigilant hand sanitization
campaign nears completion just
three days before the Olympic opening ceremonies.
The final step of the cleanliness crusade
will see all public restrooms locked up
for the duration of the games.

Collage #47 of my Globe and Mail Project: deconstructing Canada's National Newspaper and putting it back together to try and make sense of the world. All images used in this collage were clipped from today's Globe.

Globe and Mail Project: #16, TRICKY DICK REACHES FOR OLYMPIC GOLD IN VANCOUVER

What happens when a disgraced US ex-president
rises from the ashes to clear his name, then chases
his dream of Olympic gold as captain of the Canadian bobsled team?

Dan Ackroyd IS Richard Nixon in CBC's rollicking new
mini-series, "DICKSLEDDING: VANCOUVER 2010".

*Best bobsled picture since "Cool Runnings".

This week's Illustration Friday topic is Renewal. In the 16th collage of my Globe and Mail Project, impeached and deceased President Richard Nixon gets a chance to clean up his besmirched image and rewrite his entry in the history books.

The Globe and Mail Project will continue Monday to Saturday for the length of my free Globe and Mail subscription. Each collage is made up of images from that day's newspaper. The supplementary text is courtesy of my Olivetti portable typewriter.
