Also, having never read Heinlein's STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND, i was not aquainted with the term "grok":Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed—to merge, blend, intermarry, lose identity in group experience. They are related, and not-related. I cannot fathom the larger meaning but I grok it exists. Thank you for this intellectual challenge.
